  1. Oatmeal- Full of potassium, omega-3 fatty acids and folate
  2. Salmon- Full of omega-3 fatty acids
  3. Avocado- Can help lower LDL (bad cholesterol), and raise HDL (good cholesterol)
  4. Olive oil- Great alternative to butter as it is a heart healthy UNsaturated fat.
  5. Nuts- These increase fiber in the diet
  6. Berries- Antioxidants and anti-inflammatories
  7. Legumes- This includes lentils and black beans
  8. Spinach- Gives you muscles according to Popeye, but can lower blood pressure as well
  9. Flaxseed- Has omega-3 fatty acid and fiber
  10. Soy- Low in saturated fat.
