Congrats to Lori Randall, June Nelson and Peter Stoker! They are last week's random giveaway winners!
Here are their replies to the giveaway question, "How do you stay safe while driving OR What is your unsafe driving behavior pet peeve?"
"When I find myself getting frustrated with a driver I try to think that my Mom is driving that car and to just be patient...one day we will be that overly cautious driver!" - Lori Randall
"I drive I-15 everyday. My pet peeve is when slower drivers don't move over for faster cars. When I feel myself getting frustrated I will sometimes get off the Freeway and take surface streets to get to my destinations. And...relax." - June Nelson
"One of my biggest unsafe driving behavior pet peeves in women who put on makeup and men who shave on their way to work!" - Peter Stoker
Stress is the "wear and tear" our bodies experience as we adjust to our continually changing environment; it has physical and emotional effects on us and can create positive or negative feelings.
As a positive influence, stress can help move us to action; it can result in a new awareness and an exciting new perspective. As a negative influence, it can result in feelings of distrust, rejection, anger, and depression; which in turn can lead to health problems such as headaches, upset stomach, rashes, insomnia, ulcers, high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke!
With the death of a loved one, the birth of a child, a job promotion, or a new relationship, we experience stress as we readjust our lives. In adjusting to different circumstances, stress will help or hinder us depending on how we react to it.
How stressed are you? Strangely, we are not always aware that we are under stress. The habits, attitudes, and signs that can alert us to problems may be hard to recognize because they have become so familiar. Take THIS quiz to see what your stress level is.
